J and I headed to Banff last Sunday to amble along the mellow Spray River trail. We started early, an hour before the sun started to warm the trail. The white outer tail feathers of the juncos that flew across the path were little sparks of brightness in the grey morning light. I think the birdy I photographed is a female juvenile. Her adult plumage looks almost complete.
Lovely little bird! Great clarity and image.

Thanks Deborah :-). She graced me with 30 seconds of stillness so I managed a couple focused shots.

Thanks Jill :-). I’m glad I had enough light to capture her sweet little pink streak.

:-D. Occasionally I feel charming. But usually, I feel like a big footed stalker.
